JSTEP

Our Junior Student Training Enrichment Program is designed to raise indigenous leaders in the community. The program is open to students within the age range of 13-16 years old during the school year who show leadership potential.

Our mission is to:

  •         Train and equip our local youth in the value of their walk with God.
  •         Train and equip our local youth to be leaders within Jesus Project Ministries.
  •         Train and equip our local youth for community service and mission trips.
  •         Train and equip our local youth for their next steps including education, future  employment and life goals.

Activities

  • Leadership

During one school year of the program JSTEP students will served in two or more local outreaches, served in multiple service projects, gained a greater grasp of God’s word, and learn leadership and life skills.

During the summer, JSTEP students will help alongside our high-school and college interns in running our nine-week Summer Bible Camp. Students will learn to effectively communicate Bible stories to their younger peers, develop leadership skills, and participate in a discipleship weekend specifically for them.

Coding Camp

As part of the JSTEP program, Coding Camp intensives take place during Summer and

through-out the school year. Youth learn the basics of coding.

  • Away Camp

Our JSTEP Away Camp is a fun filled discipleship weekend. For many JSTEP students the outdoor camping experience is their very first time leaving the city. The Away Camp is designed for students to spend time away and experience God through worship and teaching. Outdoor activities such as swimming, zip line, basketball, nature walks, campfires are also included.
